Wishlist Wednesday #3

It's not often I'm not seen with jewellery on. I tend to wear the same necklace that my boyfriend got me but have a selection of rings that I switch around regularly. Recently, I came across a website, Lvndr, that does the cutest costume jewellery. I like how most of the items are light and are made for stacking. I love stacking rings, although it's not ideal for exam season! Here's a few pieces from the website that I've got my eye on!

Fashion Friday #3

It's a renowned fact that us bloggers love shopping. It's also a renowned fact that we can't just go out shopping and buy one item. We have to buy a selection of clothes/beauty items. Hence why we pretty much invented the shopping haul. Yesterday, I was meant to be in work at 10 but got into town about 45 minutes early so off to shop I went. I haven't been in Primark for ages and I've seen loads of bloggers purchasing loads of items from there so I went in there to see what I could find. The only issue I have with Primark is that in my local one, they never have my size in anything nice! However, I was a lucky girl yesterday! Here's the things I bought:

I thought this top was super cute for just £6! I love bib collars on tops. I've got loads of skirts that this will go with too.

These shirts had a full display to themselves. The shirt comes in black, white, bright blue, this light blue, baby pink, yellow and mint green I think. For £8, if it washes well, I'll be buying it in a few of the colours!

The same goes for this cardigan. For £6, it's basically a steal. Again, if it washes well, I'm buying it in a few colours. The material is super soft and almost silky too so it feels lovely.

This skort is so summery and super cute but I didn't realise I bought the wrong size so I have to take it back. For £10, it will look so nice with a white vest and flats.

I also work near That's Entertainment and ended up buying DVDs. Oops!

Nine and Laguna Beach Season 2
As well as my Primark haul, I also purchased some box sets from Amazon last week and they finally arrived yesterday too!

(clockwise from top left) Ugly Betty Season 3, Hart of Dixie Season 1 and The City Season 2 and 1
My mum also gave me a hand-me-down yesterday because this top has shrunk in the wash. I never ever get hand-me-downs from her but I rather like this top.

Fashion Friday #2

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know how much I love leather. Well, pleather anyway! But with it coming up to summer (hopefully!), I thought wearing a black leather jacket constantly would be too wintery. Pastels are such a big trend that I decided to buy this pink leather jacket:

Unfortunately I can't find it on the website anymore but it was £30 from Matalan. I managed to buy mine from one of my local Matalans so have a look in there if you like it. After purchasing it, I saw Patricia from PeeXo had the same one! (post here). I love the way she's styled it with neutrals as I think that's the best way for the jacket to stand out but I think it would look cute paired with other pastels and maybe even a block-coloured dress.

Sorry that today's post is so short. I've got so much revision to do so I need to get a lot done today!

Shoesday Tuesday #2

I totally forgot to blog yesterday! So I'll skip straight to Shoesday Tuesday! As much as I love dressing up, I live in sneakers. They're comfy for uni and running errands. I used to wear Converse all the time but since I discovered Keds, there's no turning back for me! Converse take too long to lace up and I like to be out of the door as quickly as possible!

I purchased the plain red Keds first because I'd seen Taylor Swift sporting a pair which then led me to discover that she was the spokesperson for the brand! Since then, I've bought two pairs from her collection.

Here are a selection of a couple I love from the new collection:

I love how easy they are to wear and they do go with anything. I tend to wear them with skinny jeans but I've worn them with skater skirts for a more casual look and some dresses look super cute with them!

Fashion Friday #1

For my first Fashion Friday, I'm going to focus on my favourite lady in the whole world: Taylor Swift. I'm an obsessive Swiftie, from her music to her style. I've always been a fan of her style but I'm loving her new outlook on clothes. So far in April since living in New York, she's been sporting some gorgeous looks and here's a peek at them!

I'm a huge fan of coloured denim and have been for years but I don't think I pull it off very well. Taylor always looks feminine and elegant. I love her preppy style and love of patterns and colour.

Shorts are a staple in her wardrobe; she wears them onstage frequently. And with those pins, why not? She could be mistaken for a model with those legs!

Girly is a word I'd use to describe Miss Swift which means dresses are aplenty. Because of her frame, she can pretty much get away with any shape or style of dress, lucky girl!

She also knows that every girl's best friend is an LBD. I love how all three of these are different styles and keep black from looking drab! They all have detailing on them of some sort which is so her.

Skater skirts are a style that fit every figure. Curvy, slender, tall, petite. Obviously being model-esque she looks amazing but they really do suit any shape.

Bear in mind, these pictures were all taken in April. I've always loved her red carpet style as well as her street style but only recently have I started to notice her street style properly. She always looks so put-together, whether she's dressing up or down. She needs to look stylish with all those celebrity friends around her!

Wishlist Wednesday #1

inlovewithfashion.com is a new online brand that sells lovely, pretty, girly clothing. They don't have the widest range of stock, probably because it's so popular with bloggers that most of the pieces sell out so quickly! Here's a few items that caught my eye on the site.

Shoesday Tuesday #1

I am obsessed with shoes. Those who know me know I have at least 50 pairs and regularly have to have a clearout so I can buy more. This week, I'll be showing you a pair that I've been lusting after for quite a while. These courts from Next are simply stunning.

I own a few pairs of heels but  I never wear them, simply because they're too high and impractical for daytime. Having been into Next and tried these on, the heel is the perfect height. It's only an 8cm heel (just over 3 inches) which is ideal for everyday wear. The beauty of these heels being so simple is that they will literally go with everything.

spring pub meal

First up is a more casual look, perfect for spring. I go to the pub quite a lot. I don't drink anymore but it's the perfect place to catch up with friends or go for a more low-key date with my boyfriend. I have these exact skinny jeans and a similar jumper to this one. Wearing heels with a casual outfit makes it look a bit more classy but not too dressed up.

night out with the girls

Next up is a prettier, more girly outfit. Pale pink is obviously a big trend this season and this skirt is super cute! Paired with a white shirt, it's perfect for summer nights out with the girls. Whether you're just going to a bar for a few drinks or to a club for a dance, this look is ideal.

summer date night

You may have seen this playsuit on my H&M Wishlist post and I actually decided to buy it! It's quite short so it's best to wear with tights for now and then get those legs out come summer time but I can't wait to wear it on a chilled out date night!

So there you have it: simple black courts do go with most clothes. These Next ones are £29, which I think is a reasonable price for a pair of quality shoes, but I'm sure there'll be cheaper versions elsewhere on the high stree.t (Here's looking at you Primark!)

H&M Wishlist

Wednesday night was date night and because my boyfriend was running late, I decided to have a look around a few shops in my local city centre. In St Stephens (our mini shopping centre for high street clothes), the first shop is H&M. I spent about 20 minutes browsing in there and found so many items I wanted to buy! I'm trying to save over the next month as I'm going to Liverpool at Easter but I don't know if I'll be able to wait that long! As my style icon right now is Rachel Berry in Season 4 of Glee, I tend to gravitate to darker pieces rather than colour. I like a pop of colour but tend to stick with blacks, greys and navys. I didn't see all of these items in-store but here are my picks from the website.

h&m tops

Now that spring is finally here, I hope it's time to ditch the heavy coats and finally wear all my leather jackets and lighter cardigans. Now 1 and 2 are the perfect lightweight cardis more so for summer. They're a really fine knit and will look great over dresses, skirts, shorts, everything really! And at only £9.99 and with 6 colours/patterns to choose from, I might buy a couple! Pastels are a big trend for S/S '14 and 3 would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. I already own a couple of blazers but they're all dark coloured. This would look great over darker clothes to make them seem less wintery and more summery. Denim jackets are in every single summer because they look cute over summer dresses and 4 is exactly what a denim jacket should look like. It's a classic piece that should be in every girl's summer wardrobe so you'll wear it for years to come; it comes in 3 different washes too so you can decide which you like the most! Once the weather gets a bit warmer, I can't wait to wear vest such as 5 and 6. The white vest will go perfectly with denim shorts or even jeans on a cooler day and the stripey bustier will also look cute with denim. Stripes are a big part of my wardrobe; they're easy to wear and 7 will look great with black skinny jeans during the spring. 8 and 9 are a little more rock and roll. If you read my blog regularly, you'll know I love leather accents on clothes. These would be perfect for wearing to uni with a pair of skinny jeans and at £12.99, they're a bargain too! Similarly 10 and 11 would look equally as good with jeans or even a black mini skirt or leather skirt!

h&m shirts

I've been looking for a white sleeveless shirt for aaaaaaages and 1 is perfect for what I want. I've got loads of black skirts and this would go great with them all! More denim for summer and 2 would look cute tucked into a patterned skirt or shorts. Now red is definitely my colour (due to the dark hair and dark eyes) and 3 would look perfect for summer when paired with light wash denim shorts. The best thing about all 3 of these shirts is that they can be dressed up or down! 4 is more for spring rather than summer but I'd wear that now for uni with my leather jacket and black biker skinnies. Plaid and denim shirts are great as wearing as a cover-up during summer when it's a bit windy. 5 would look great with darker colours whereas 6 would suit more pastels and patterns.

h&m dresses/jumpsuits

It's not often that I wear a dress even though I have loads of them! All of these dresses/jumpsuits will look great paired with simple flats. 1 and 2 are both jersey dresses so they're a bit thicker than 3 and 4 which are chiffon. The chiffon dresses tend to look nicer dressed up too. Any neckline I see like 5 just remind me of Sandy in Grease! This dress is figure-hugging at its finest and will look really sophisticated with a simple black heel. 6 is perfect for summer; just don't pair it with a denim jacket of the same colour or you'll look like the fifth member of B*Witched! More stripes for summer and I love the cut of 7. Shirt dresses are super flattering on all figures. 8 would look fab with tan accessories for a cute day out somewhere. Finally, both 9 and 10 are jumpsuits. I only own one jumpsuits as being petite, they never seen to fit me properly. These two are lightweight and will look great with sandals during the warmer months.

h&m skirts

I have way too many skirts already in my wardrobe but will that stop me from buying more? Not a chance! 1 is a great nod to the pastel trend. Skater skirts also happen to suit every body shape so that's why I love 2 and 3 aswell! The colour of 4 is so pretty. You might have seen it on the adverts featuring Miranda Kerr as it's new in. It will look great paired with a white vest and flats. I'm not usually one to wear patterns but 5 and 6 would go great with a neutral coloured vest and flats. I'm still on the search for a leather skirt that fits perfectly so 7 is yet another one I will have to try on. 8 again will look great with a simple black or white vest; it only costs £3.99 and it fits like a glove. I have the same skirt in black, grey, navy and burgundy and I wear them all the time.

h&m botttoms

You can't tell from the photo but 1 is actually meant to be a khaki colour. I find jeans shopping really difficult because I'm short but these look like a lighter fabric. I also really want some boyfriend jeans for summer but again, it's hard to find them where they don't look too baggy on my small frame. 2 are a skinny fit; they taper off towards the bottom so I need to go and try a pair of these on! They come in a couple of different washes too; I prefer the slightly darker wash myself. 3 are actually a pair of jeggings but I like the biker style knee on them. I've got a black pair of jeans with this on and they just make every outfit a bit more rock. 4 are once again on the new adverts and they would be great if you are lounging about at home or need to pop out to the shops. Wear them with a loose t-shirt and sneakers and you'll look cool but casual. And summer is not complete without a pair of denim shorts. 5 look like the perfect length for me. I like shorts to cover my bum and I like the light, almost acid, wash to them.

h&m accessories

H&M is not usually a place I look for bags and shoes (I tend to go to Zara for bags and New Look for shoes) but all of these look super stylish. A tan satchel never goes out of style and I like that shape of 1. If you want a less traditional-style satchel, 2 is great for you. You can choose from 3 patterns and all of them look fab. 3 will look great paired with a summer dress and denim jacket. These type of boots are all over the high street and 4 look like the heel is just the right height. I hate heels; I find them uncomfy but the height of these is ideal to walk around in. Another tan bag at 5; this one looks a whole lot more expensive than it is! I mostly own dark coloured bags (I'm always putting them on the floor at uni and they're easier to clean) but 6 is a really cool bag. I love the slouchy look of it and the fact it has a long strap as well as two short ones.

The main reason I love H&M? The prices. Not one of these items is over £29.99. Yes, it might not be the place to go for an investment piece of clothing but for trends and disposable fashion, I don't think you can beat it. The clothes are good quality and fit really well too. I like to look in out-of-town stores as well as my local one because they tend to stock the odd different items. If you're after cheap but stylish pieces, it's the place to go!

Oscars 2014 Red Carpet: The Fashion

I'm so annoyed with myself for not watching the red carpet coverage of The Oscars last night live on E! so I'm watching it now whilst blogging. I love doing these red carpet review posts; I get to look at all the stunning dresses and pick out my favourites! Last night, there were a few trends that I spotted when going through the pictures so here they are!

1. Olivia Wilde in Valentino
2. Charlize Theron in Dior
3. Anna Kendrick in J.Mendel
First up, black was a trend that was seen on quite a few dresses. Olivia, Charlize and Anna went for plain black material here. Olivia, showing off her baby bump in Valentinio, is glowing in this high neck gown. As much as I love black, I feel that this dress is a bit drab on her. I know she has to dress the bump too but she could've chosen something else. I like the strip of white at the back though! Next up is Charlize; she looks stunning in her Dior dress. I love the cleavage-bearing front of the dress; it's showing enough skin without showing too much. I also love the clear straps although that does remind me of my old dance costumes! Finally is Anna; now many folk do not like this dress at all. The J.Mendel number, I really like! I like the bodice of tulle which is really eye-catching and then it leads into this mesh pattern waist. The only issue I have is that the split at the front is a really odd length.

1. Emma Watson in Vera Wang
2. Julia Roberts in Givenchy
3. Anne Hathaway in Gucci
4. Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent
More black right now. Now this was Emma Watson's first time to the Oscars and boy does she look amazing! This semi-sheer number is full of shimmer and it fits her body perfectly! I like how it catches the light too. Next is Julia Roberts; this Givenchy gown is so understated that it stands out to me! I love the lace and peplum but the best thing about this dress is that it would work if it was cut off at the knee as a cocktail dress! Next is Anne Hathaway in this Gucci halterneck dress; I love the jewelled front and waist detail and the slit up the back. I like how she's kept it low key and simple but oh so beautiful. Last is Margot Robbie. The usual blonde has died her locks to a dark brown and she looks stunning! I love the gothic make-up look she's gone for, I'm obsessed with the plum lip! However, I'm more obsessed with the dress! I love the sequinned bodice and that bow at the back, wow!

1. Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
2. Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen
3. Louise Roe in Pronovias
4. Olga Kurylenko in Alice Elia
5. Amy Adams in Gucci
6. Bette Midler in Reem Acra
I love that jewel tones were a force to be reckoned with. As much as I love black, a red carpet needs colour other than the carpet itself! First up is J.Law, everybody's favourite woman, in this orange Dior gown. For once, I'm not massively impressed! Maybe it's because I hate orange but I just wish she'd have worn something a bit more wow; she was nominated after all! Sandra Bullock, here in Alexander McQueen, looks gorgeous in this midnight blue dress. I love the detail at the waist and the dress fits her amazingly! Next up is Louise Roe in this Pronovias Grecian gown. I love the colour and it goes so well with her skintone and hair colour. I love the lace sleeve too! Olga Kurylenko stunned in this Alice Elia eco-dress showing that fashion can be sustainable and good for the environment! The pinky-red colour again matches her skintone! Amy Adams in Gucci looks stunning yet oh so simple. This blue colour is one of my favourites too. I was glad she did something less cleavage-bearing because she's done that a lot this red carpet season. Finally is Bette Midler in Reem Acra. Now she is an absolute ledgend and this dress looks amazing on her! It hugs her curves perfectly!

1. Lupita Nyong'o in Prada
2. Penelope Cruz in Giambattista Valli Couture
3. Lady Gaga in Versace
4. Kerry Washington in Jason Wu
5. Camilla Alves in Gabriela Cadena
6. Jada Pinkett Smith in Versace
Pastels are a strong trend for spring/summer 2014 so I'm glad some of the celebrities opted for them! First up is the woman of the moment, Lupita. She has had an amazing red carpet season, both in terms of fashion and awards, and she does not disappoint in this baby blue number! I love how she's gone for showing off a bit of cleavage and I love the headband! Penelope Cruz stunned in this one-shouldered gown. I like how it sits on the shoulder and I like that the black belt breaks up the dress because there is a lot of material here! Next up is Lady Gage who for once has nailed it in a dress! Usually I'm not a massive fan of her red carpet looks (she's a bit too OTT for me) but here she looks amazing! It looks like it's a lilac colour and I love how it hugs her body! Next is Kerry Washington who is one of my red carpet faves. Here, in Jason Wu, she looks so elegant. I love the purpley grey colour and the column dress is perfect for a baby bump! Camilla Alves in Gabriela Cadena is beautiful. There's a lot of material again here but because she's so modelesque, it doesn't overwhelm her. Finally is Jada Pinkett Smith in Versace and I love this dress! I love the colour and the neckline.

1. Kristen Bell in Roberto Cavalli
2. Kelly Osbourne in Badgley Mischka
3. Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein
4. Kristin Cavallari in Alexander McQueen
Normally I hate white but it really suits some people, plus it's bang on-trend. First up is Kristen Bell in this gorgeous Roberto Cavalli dress; I like how she always keeps it simple and this dress is perfect for her. Next is Kelly Osbourne in this white gown. I love the beaded overlay too and how she's accessoriesed with an umbrella! Naomi Watts is someone I love seeing on the red carpet; she just knows what suits her. Here in a white Calvin Klein column dress, the look is simple yet so beautiful and elegant. Finally is Kristin Cavallari. Now what she is doing at the Oscars, I have no idea but she looks stunning in this Alexander McQueen number! I love the sleeve details too, this is how you style a baby bump!

1. Maria Menounos in Johanna Johnson
2. Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace
3. Jennifer Garner in Oscar de la Renta
4. Jennifer Biel in Chanel Haute Couture
Sparkles and metallics are always on the red carpet which is probably what I would wear if I went on a red carpet! First is Maria in Johanna Johnson; I love how simple and elegant this dress is and I love how it fits her body. Next is Kate Hudson in one of my favourite looks of the night. This dress is a showstopper; it still would be without the draped back detail but with it, it makes the look spectactular. I love the plunging neckline too! Next is Jennifer Garner in this sparkly column dress by Oscar de la Renta. I like how she kept it low-key with the accessories to let the dress take centre stage. In a similar number, Jessica Biel looks equally as beautiful in Chanel. It has a pattern to the sequins which keeps it from looking drab too.

So there you have it. My best dressed were Emma Watson, Margot Robbie, Kate Hudson, Lupita Nyong'o and Naomi Watts but I thought most people looked incredible!

George at Asda Wishlist

Now I know some fellow bloggers are not a fan of supermarket clothing. It's always seen as unfashionable or fuddy-duddy but I've found so many good items over the years in Asda. They're great for basic items, such as vests and underwear, but now they've produced some more stylish pieces. Here's a couple of outfits I've picked out that would look really cute.

asda outfits

The first outfit I think would look great on a night out (not that I even drink anymore) or for a meal with family or friends. The sheer blouse is perfect for not having too much skin on show and paired with an on-trend tribal-print skirt, it makes it look less drab and more fab! Simple black heels or ankle boots would look great with this.

The second outfit would be perfect for a shopping day or date night. The skirt can be dressed up or down but by adding the sheer tartan sweater, it makes the look more casual. As you know, I love tartan and this is just a different way of wearing it! Black loafers or smoking slippers would be great for a daytime look and a bright heel would look amazing for a night-time event.

The final look is a more casual look, again for a shopping day or just a casual lunch. Pastels are so in this season and this pink jumper is so cute. Normally I hate wearing pink but this is a nice shade; hopefully it wouldn't wash me out being so pale and all! These trousers are so on-trend too; monochrome is a trend I always love. This jumper would look great with jeans but by pairing it with trousers, it makes it look a lot smarter.

asda other items

Here are my other picks from the website that caught my eye! I love blazers (I've got 3 already) but all of them are structured; these two are more relaxed. The stripey blazer would go great with bright skinnies and the knitted blazer would look amazing over a smart dress. I'm a huge fan of this floral camisole top which is unusual for me because I hate anything floral. I like this because it's dark and more subtle and would go with all of my black skirts! Both dresses are nothing like my usually style. Both the blue and black tie-dye dress and the dark blue dress with sheer inserts would look amazing with a pair of simple black heels. I'm also in need of a new tartan shirt so I don't have to steal my boyfriend's and this red tartan shirt would be great with a pair of skinny jeans and pumps. The geo jacquard top would also look fab with jeans or with a black skirt or shorts.

I love sneakers; I live in my Converse and Keds but I'm also after a pair of pleather sneakers. Either the black ones or the beige ones would fit my style perfectly. On a final note, this bikini (top and bottoms) also fit in with this season's tribal-print trend and the best thing about this bikini? It only costs £6 in total!

Boohoo.com Wishlist

Whilst skiving off uni because I'm having one of those days, I decided to do what I do best: scour the web for new clothes! Having just got back from  a trip to London (I'll blog about that soon) and spending too much there, I probably shouldn't! I had a look on Boohoo, a site I often visit but never buy from. I saw so many cute clothes on the website, it's ridiculous!

boohoo.com

PATTERNED DRESSES

I love tartan. I wish I owned more of it than I do. I think tartan dresses look great when they have a feminine silhouette so you can pair them with black tights and biker boots and not look too punk. Also, to smarten them up, a black blazer and heels work wonders. In fairness, I'm not usually a fan of pattern; because I'm petite, patterns can be overwhelming on my tiny frame. I love this leopard print dress too and I never like leopard print! I think I like this one because it's very subtle; usually leopard print is very in-your-face and loud whereas this one is a bit more demure. The polka-dot dress is super cute too; I'd pair it with tights and pumps probably!

boohoo

BLOCK-COLOURED DRESSES

I do like a plain-coloured dress; they're perfect for adding accessories without looking too over-the-top. The first three dresses are very sexy but paired with a cardi or jacket, they would look cute. The fourth one I would wear to a wedding or an event similar; it would look great with a nude clutch bag and heels! Now I love bib collars; I own a few items with collars anyway but this dress would fit perfectly in my wardrobe!

All these items can be seen on my Polyvore! Thanks Boohoo, I now see a shopping spree approaching!

Today's Outfit 13/02/2014

So last night was my first Valentine's date. Because we're a new couple, we decided to keep it low-key and just went for Curry Club so we could watch the rugby match too. Yes it was a cheap date but I don't need flowers and teddies. We both decided to make a bit of effort to dress up and I did have a dress and heels but I twisted my ankle walking down the stairs before I left the house so I had to put on a pair of trust flats instead!

I'm not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day; I believe that there are 364 other days to show someone you love them (which my boyfriend is so good at) but it felt good to dress up for the night. I don't drink anymore so I have a load of dresses that need wearing because I don't go on nights out! I know the picture quality is a bit rubbish but I am wearing a burgundy dress. It's got a tulip skirt and cut-outs at the side and it gives me some shape. Because it is so ruddin' cold right now, I had to wear it with black tights; otherwise I would've frozen to death! My boyfriend approved of my dress which is a good sign (he's a VERY smart dresser!).

Today's Outfit 29/01/2014

So yesterday I spent the day at the pub with my best friend and then went bowling with my boyfriend. So two plans= two different outfits!

So for dinner at the pub, I went for a more relaxed, casual look. I'm obsessed with this jacket. It's great for throwing on over a t-shirt and jeans or leggings. I don't usually wear sports clothing outside of working out but I think this Adidas jacket looks pretty cool! It's got polka dots on it too so it's kind of cute as well as casual. I wore my 21 tshirt from Tesco that I got a while ago in the sale. I love how it's just the right length to go over my bum so I can wear it with leggings! These leggings are from River Island and cost me £18. I've wanted a pair of leather leggings for quite a while now but they all tend to be plasticy which is not what I want. These are stretchy and comfy, like a thin disco pant really. I paired my outfit with my beloved red Keds. I live in these for uni.

On the night, I ended up going bowling so I knew I wanted to be comfy but still look cute for my boyfriend! I paired this black and white Forever 21 plaid sweater which is super comfy with my Forever 21 jeans similar to these ones. Being short, it's hard to find a pair of jeans that fit properly and this fit like a glove! I wore this look with my £3 Primark loafers that I got for half price. They're navy with a gold anchor stitched on the front. I think they look pretty expensive but weren't!

So there it is; that's yesterday's outfits done! My style is definitely evolving since I had my last wardrobe clearout so I wonder what's in store for my style this year!

Grammy Awards 2014

Last night was the Grammy Awards across the pond and because I had an early night, I had to catch up on all the red carpet action this morning on E!. I was so impressed by the majority of the outfits I saw, it looked like everyone brought their A-game! Here are my 10 favourite looks from the night.

1. My favourite look of the night was Taylor Swift. Yes I might be slightly biased because I love her, but this Gucci Premiere dress is exquisite. Of course she loves her sparkle but this has sort of a chain/mesh overlay which gives it extra edge. I love the simple silhouette, it makes her look like a statue. She said herself that wearing this dress felt like wearing a suit of armour because it was so heavy! I also love that she just wore her hair up in a ponytail to show off the sparkly neckline. Just perfection.

2. Next up is Chrissy Teigen. The model wore this gold Johanna Johnson dress which is everything I love on a red carpet: shows off your best assets, sparkly, eye-catching. Obviously the model body helps but this dress just fits her figure perfectly. I like that it reveals just enough skin with the slit up the front. Spot on Chrissy!

3. Katy Perry is known just as much for her music as her quirky fashion sense. Many people don't like this Valentino dresses but I love it! This dress would only ever be appropriate for the Grammys so why not give it a go? It suits her personality and I love the bodice and shoulders of this dress. Without the music notes, the dress would be beautiful anyway but they give it a kooky edge which is right up Katy's street!

4. Miranda Lambert in this Pamella Roland gown is breathtaking. Her new figure is amazing so why not flaunt it? I'm all for the colour of this dress and the cut and simplicity of it too are just divine. I think the neckline shows just the right amount of cleavage for this sort of event. This is old Hollywood style at its best. And can I also mention those earrings? I don't have my ears pierced but they are phenomenal!

5. Anna Kendrick, here in Azzaro, is one of my favourite celebrities to see on the red carpet. She knows her style and figure so well and always dresses correctly for the event. The Grammys means you can take that extra risk with embellishments and skin showing and this is perfect for it. Another dress with a front slit (is this the new thigh-high side split a la J.Lo at the event last year?), she's showing that us pale girls can wear pastel colours! I love the bejewelled bodice as well.

6. Iggy Azalea's figure is to die for (have you seen her bum?!) and this dress highlights that! This Elie Saab number would be seen on a stick-thin model on the runway so it's nice to see a woman with curves in it and look amazing in doing so! It's very different from her usual style; this is subtle and demure as opposed to her usually very sexy and out-there look. I also love how she's kept it girly with pink lips and nails, too cute!

7. Kacey Musgraves is fast becoming one of my favourite red carpet starlets. She's a newcomer to the music scene and this was her first Grammys! This Armani Prive dress is so princess-like and I love all the tiers of tulle. It is perfect for her debut appearance and the bow at the top is so cute!

8. Skylar Grey is not a singer I'm massively familiar with apart from that Eminem and Dr Dre song, I need A Doctor (which is a tuuuune btw!) but apparently she's pretty big in America. Here she is wearing a laser-cut pink leather Michael Costello dress is just stunning. I love that it's high fashion yet so rock-and-roll! It takes someone very brave to wear skin-tight leather especially on the red carpet but her body looks so good in this dress! Bold but well-executed choice!

9. Giuliana Rancic is one of my favourite journalists going. As co-presenter of E! News, it's her jobs to report on all the red carpet looks but people forget that she is such a stylish lady too! This orange Alex Perry gown looks so vibrant against her tanned skin; it's not often I like orange but this colour is just so vivid! I love the floral print of it and the sheer detailing in between the boobs. Hinting at cleavage is way sexier!

10. Last but not least is Sarah Hyland who has had a stunning red carpet season so far this year! I love that she went for a shorter dress as she's done a lot of floor-length gowns at other events. This dress is so cute but I love that it's quite relaxed as she's literally just there to have a fun night without the stress of maybe having to accept an award. I also love the sequin detail at the bottom of the dress.

I also want to give a mention to Ariana Grande. I'm not a huge fan of hers to be honest (her voice goes right through me!) but this dress isn't too bad. The main issue I have is that she always wears the same style of dress: floral, strapless, super girly. However the thing I want to bring to your attention to are her legs. SHE HAS NUDE TIGHTS ON!!!! That's just a massive no-no. The only place this is acceptable is if you are on stage performing. Sorry Ariana, cute but expected.
